Reactivity is the behaviour you can see, but it can have different causes. Fear, frustration, over-arousal, learned patterns, handling, genetics and the environment may all contribute. We assess the dog in front of us rather than applying one fixed programme to every reaction.

The aim is not simply to stop noise or movement. Training should help you recognise your dog's thresholds, manage risk, communicate more clearly and build responses that work in everyday life.
